The Most Darling Handmade Holiday Gifts

Personally, I think it’s super important to have access to high quality, handmade items by small businesses at our fingertips. Going to craft and holiday fairs just isn’t as easy with a little one, so I like to scour the pages of Etsy to find sweet little happies that remind me of some special people in my life.

Here are some suggestions from my favorite shops for affordable + adorable holiday gift ideas and stocking stuffers! Keep on Reading!

Resort Traveling Tips with a 1 Year Old

The most common reaction I was getting from people when I told them about our trip to Mexico: “wait, you’re taking Josie?” Lil Bit goes wherever we take her. Have babe, will travel. Keep on Reading!

Ode to the Mommy Meltdown

So let’s take it all in stride. You are the best mama you can be, and I’m the best mama I can be. We run the world and nobody can take that away from us.

I’m not any busier that any other mom. I sometimes get to shower and sometimes I don’t. I sometimes get to work out and sometimes I don’t. My hair is done, maybe, two days out of the week. Do I want to do these things? Sure, every single day, I want to. But I’m not having an emotional breakdown about it. Guess what? You shouldn’t either. Keep on Reading!

Low+Slow Onion Candy (AKA Caramelized Onion)

It’s what I like to call Onion Candy, but others may call them Caramelized Onions. It resembles nothing like the sweet onion it came from. It’s been slowly and lowly cooked in butter and balsamic glaze.

I’m standing over my kitchen sink with a 10″ frying pan in my left hand and a spoon in my right hand. Well, at least 60 seconds ago I was. I realized what I was doing and decided to take a second to collect my thoughts before SLAPPIN’ MY MAMA. Keep on Reading!

Hurricane (Harvey & Irma) Help

Please consider donating to one of these organizations to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma.

Babies, mamas, and elderly affected by the recent hurricanes to hit the continent are in need of our support. Unfortunately, diapers and similar supplies are often not provided by rescue organizations. Diapers are a necessity – as a mom I can’t imagine being without them. These families have enough to worry about, it is our time to step up and help out all over the country.

The Non-Baby Registry – What NOT to Buy

When building our baby registry, we started off with the little checklist from the baby store. Guess what, they provide this list so they sell more stuff. Many of these items are just stuff and your baby may or may not use it. Keep on Reading!

Underrated Aldi and Lidl Products

We have recently decided to follow a grocery budget, so both Aldi and Lidl have become my best friends. I’m a longtime lover of all things Aldi and I’ve got some serious opinions. Do you shop at Aldi and/or Lidl? Okay, do you at least buy your staples there? They are popping up all over the country! The prices and quality are top notch. So if you’re not, I can’t recommend it enough. Keep on Reading!

New Mom Resources

The best advice I can provide is to not spend a lot of time searching online for why your baby has awful gas or if your baby has a weird shaped head. Everything in moderation. In hindsight, talking to other moms was really what helped me out.

But let’s be real. Google is at our fingertips and it’s hard to stay off the internet when you’re wondering about the color of your kid’s poop. Keep on Reading!
